Dirk Scharninghausen has been counseling managing directors, executive officers and companies as well as employees for almost 20 years. His activities encompass all questions of labor law and the social law aspects relevant to these issues. As he is a trained banker and has had years of experience working with HR departments, tax accountants, and certified public accountants, Dirk Scharninghausen can draw on extensive experience that goes beyond labor law to include the necessary understanding of commercial law questions and commercial contexts in companies. He drafts and reviews employment contracts and works agreements as well as the provisions of collective bargaining agreements. During proceedings before labor courts, he successfully establishes claims for employees, managing directors, and executive officers, e.g. for severance pay, remuneration, royalties, commissions, vacation entitlements, or parental leave, and initiates the actions necessary to protect from terminations. When representing employers, Dirk Scharninghausen supports corporate management and, if necessary, HR departments in all questions relating to labor law, prepares in particular hirings and terminations as well as reorganization measures, and whenever necessary takes charge of the labor court proceedings related to such actions.
